Season 2 Awards

The second season is in the review bag! Twenty-Five episodes of heaven (and nothing close to resembling 'Space')!

Anyways, here is the award list for season two of The X-Files!

Best Mythology Episode: 'Ascension'. Really powerful stuff and makes you really miss a fictional character!

Best Monster of the Week Episode: 'Humbug'. One of the best episodes of the entire series, let alone the second season.

Best Mulder Episode: '3'. He showed he could command the show on his own. Plus, being vulnerable, he was Mulder but not Mulder, if you know what I mean.

Best Scully Episode: Bad season for Scully. I vote none.

Best Monster: The Evil Dark Matter Shadow in 'Soft Light'.

Best Score: 'Soft Light'. Many of the cues would be used again and again.

Best Cinematography: 'Excelsis Dei'. Probably for the only time in the series, the best cinematography didn't belong to the most shit episode though 'Dod Kalm' came pretty damn close to winning this.

Biggest Surprise: 'Fresh Bones'. Great episode. Totally forgot about it (and that was the thesis of my essay on it).

Biggest Let Down: 'The Host'. For a 'classic' episode, I found much to be desired.

Worst Episode: There are a bunch, for sure, but the champion this year has to go to 'Firewalker' which is just plain dumb.
